The Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant is the largest Advanced Wastewater treatment plant in the world.
Project highlights include:
- Blue Plains will feature the use of Cambi thermal hydrolysis (THP), the first facility in the United States to use this technology. Once completed, it will be the largest Cambi system in the world. Newman was tasked to design the supports for a portion of this system
- Design and fabrication of numerous supports within a highly congested Digester Building
- Piping stress analysis and calculations of various systems, including large, exterior Digester Tank piping
- Structural evaluation and design of additional steel within the Solids Blend Tank Building
